Miss Walters graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2004 with an Associate of Arts before transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi and graduating in 2007 with a B.A. in Education of the Deaf.  In 2014, Walters received her A.A.S. in Sign Language Interpreting from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.


Miss Walters worked in Mississippi for six years as a high school teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing as well as the high school band's percussion instructor.  In 2014, Miss Walters began working for the Southwestern Regional School for the Deaf and Blind at Baker High School as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing.


Miss Walters also holds a MS-QA Level II interpreting registration and an Alabama interpreting permit through EIPA testing.

Walters is also a member of Alabama Conference of Educators, Council for Exceptional Children, American Sign Language Teachers Association, Council on Deaf Education, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and Mississippi Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
