Eric Browne graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre (emphasis in Acting/Directing) and has attended both the University of South Alabama and the University of Mobile for his Alabama teacher's certification. Most recently, he completed his Master of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in Literature from Spring Hill College in May of 2011,


This is Mr. Browne's sixth year with Mobile County Public School System, but this is his first year at Baker High School. He was the Theatre teacher at Alma Bryant High School from 2006 through 2011. As for performance and directing, Mr. Browne has been involved in the theatre since he was 14 years old. He has worked as an actor and director at many different theaters across Alabama, both professionally and at the community theatre level. Since his move to Mobile in 2006, has been very active with The Playhouse in the Park and the Mobile Theatre Guild. This year, he is serving as the Production Chairman on the Mobile Theatre Guild 's Board of Directors and as District 5 Chairman for The Walter Trumbauer Secondary Theatre Festival.

Mr. Browne was born in Huntsville, AL and lived in that area until he was 18 years old. He relocated to central Alabama in 2002 to pursue his Theatre degree at the University of Montevallo, where he became a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was also a proud participant in the University of Montevallo's College Night Event, an 88 year old homecoming tradition, for which he served as writer and director for the Purple Side Cabinet of 2005. He moved to here in 2006 and, while at first he didn't know a soul here, now considers Mobile his "home sweet home." Mr. Browne is a member of All Saint's Episcopal Church. He can usually be found in his spare time at the Mobile Theatre Guild or out and about with his wonderful friends.
