Principal's Bio

Please allow me the opportunity to welcome each of you to Baker High School. Whether you are an "old timer" or a new student, parent or interested community member, we are a school with great things to offer.  Sports, clubs, school organizations, and excellent teachers make us, quite simply, one of the finest schools in our area.  I encourage all interested members of our community to take advantage and preview all that Baker High School has to offer.

Education:

• Graduated from Baker High School in 1974
• Received a B.S. in Health, Physical Education and
  recreation from Troy State University in 1978
• Received a M.A. in Mental Retardation from South Alabama in 1984
• Received a M.A. in Educational Leadership from South Alabama in 1994.

Work Experience:

• Teacher/Coach, Straughn High School, Andalusia, AL, 1978 -1981
• Special Education Teacher/Coach, Baker High School, 1981 - 1996
• Assistant Principal, Williamson High School, 1996-1999
• Assistant Principal, Theodore High School, 1999-2001
• Athletic Director, Mobile County Public School System, 2001-2003
• Principal, Baker High School, 2003 - present

Personal Information

• Married to Wanda Richardson, also a graduate of Baker High School for 31 years
• Two sons, Jason and Jeremy, both graduates of Baker High School
• Four grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Parker and Journy
• Member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church

Additional Information

• Played football, basketball and baseball at Baker High School
• Member of 1974 State Championship baseball team
• Assistant Coach for 1990 State Championship Team
